Le lavage de l’œil de la terre
Directement portée par les incantations de Lou Reed, l’œuvre « HERE COMES THE WAVE » de MPCEM matérialise cette force inéluctable qui vient « laver l’œil de notre terre ». La sculpture n’est pas une simple représentation marine ; elle est l’incarnation d’un flux psychologique, une réponse physique au tumulte des « pensées maléfiques » et à l’inertie humaine.
Le rythme du ressac
La structure de l’œuvre reprend la répétition hypnotique des paroles du Velvet Underground. Les formes s’enroulent et se déploient dans une dynamique circulaire, suggérant ce mouvement perpétuel qui finit par « rendre fou » ou, au contraire, par apaiser le « fils paresseux » qui sommeille en nous.
